In the tournament held at the Hakone Country Club (par 71) in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan on the 21st, Jang Ik-je shot a final total of 9 under par and 133 strokes, beating the tied second place group by one stroke and winning the championship. The winning prize is 10 million yen (approximately 100 million won).
Jang Ik-je, who made his debut on the KPGA Korean Tour in 1999, won 4 wins in Korea and then moved to the Japan Professional Golf (JGTO) Tour in 2005, adding 3 wins to a total of 7 wins.
Jang Ik-je, who started his career on the senior tour this year as a former winner of the JGTO Tour, recorded his first victory in his second tournament. Previously, he tied for 53rd at the Kanehide Senior Okinawa Open, which was held as the opening match.
